The RSC props department are looking for furniture for Arthur Miller’s The Price, which is one of the Assistant Director productions being performed at Hampstead in June. The play is set in an attic room filled with furniture from the late 19th /early 20th century. Items of particular interest are: an armchair or leather club chair, a chest of drawers, sideboards, a wardrobe, a large weighty dining table, a library table and a working wind-up record player. But we would be interested in anything that looked period!
Maybe you or someone you know is clearing out the attic and wants to get rid of some stuff? Or perhaps you wouldn’t mind lending us something for a few weeks? Arthur Miller borrowed his family’s dining table for the original production of the play, so anyone who can help will be taking part in an illustrious tradition!
