Just read about the award for architectural excellence for the wonderful new theatre. This is well deserved and to quote Ingrid, who wrote in December- “the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre is my candidate to join an Olympus of Magic Places”. And it is such a joy to sit in the fabulous auditorium. As Vicki Heywood said it is a building for everyone and full endorsed by various friends and visitors of ours who have come to Stratford in the last six months. And what wonderful productions we have had the privilege to watch- R&J and Lear were even better than at the Courtyard. Then all of a sudden there we were with the first class productions- Macbeth and Merchant of Venice. Bliss! Not that the Swan has let them down with a much better A&C and the play that I have already seen three times and booked to see again- Cardenio. And the season has only just begun. Thank you RS.
