In February, RSC alumnus Donnacadh O’Briain (Assistant Director on The Histories) will be directing the British premier of The Early Bird by Leo Butler, at the Finborough Theatre in Earl’s Court, London. The show stars Catherine Cusack and Alex Palmer as Debbie and Jack, a couple dealing with the psychological trauma created by the disappearance of their daughter.

Leo Butler is probably best known to RSC Friends as the writer of I’ll be the Devil presented by the RSC at the Tricycle Theatre in 2008 and, as a former winner of the George Devine award for most promising playwright.

The Early Bird runs from 2nd to 27th February. For performance times, prices and to book, visit www.finboroughtheatre.co.uk

There will be a special gala performance on the 11th of February. Tickets cost £40 and include a drinks reception; dinner and a rare opportunity to see the playwright discuss his work with the director and cast in an informal, post-show Q&A hosted by another RSC alumnus, Richard Cordery.
