With the theatre down for a couple of weeks and all the anticipation of the re-opening ahead, I thought I would point out a couple of other things going on in Stratford to pass the time and entertain visitors.

This weekend we have the Food Festival from today the 24th until Sunday 26th for more details see www.stratfordfoodfestival.co.uk

And from October 2nd to 9th there is the Stratford on Avon Music Festival, at varies venues around the town. The programme includes Duke Ellington’s jazz performed by The Alan Barnes Octet, Dave Swarbrick’s folk, a family concert and daily lunchtime concerts at the Town Hall with complimentary sherry and costa coffee!!

The more classical content includes trumpeter Crispian Steele Perkins, cellist Natalie Clein, pianist Melvyn Tan and countertenor James Bowman. The week is concluded with an Opera Gala Evening with the National Opera Studio.
